I have never heard of the Song Ericsson Xperia Arc – I may have to find out more about it as am due an upgrade in a couple of months. Everyone always talks about the iPhone but I don’t want to just go out and get one – I want to see what else is out there too.
It’s interesting to see the different opinions of different people – I currently have a Blackberry and once my contract is up, I won’t be getting another one, I’m definately switching to a different smartphone brand. The Windows Phone 7 is one that I may consider too, I know it isn’t in this list but it isn’t bad at all.
I work for an IT support company and our CTO wrote a blog article on what he felt were the top 4 smartphones, it’s different to this one, but I guess it’s all just opinion really http://www.lucidica.com/blog/cto/the-best-smart-phone-for-small-business/

What I love about the App Inventor is the general “no matter whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, just test it out, check this out, its free” feel about it. It may not be the best dev app out there, but the overall FEEL (notice the emphasis) of openness and approachability attracts people who would never stride into this backyard.
